Main Tanuki space blog in English
New song from Maorinsp project is finally here. It is ofcourse influenced by Balkan music, but not only of it.
This song began with accordion intro. Phraseologism ‘ekber car’ means ‘great king’. It is in archaic Bosnian. Word ‘ekber’ comes from ottoman Turkish and same word maybe exists in modern Turkish.
After this intro, song begins. It is in style of 90’s electronic dance music influenced by balkan and also, roma style.
Another song in Balkan style. Althought It is still about love, It is also something to summer times.
One interresting thing on this song is, that I have recorded It, when I was sick, so I’ve decided to edit My voice using computer. I hope, that new version will be better and also, I am not good in Serbo-Croatian.
On July 2023 I’ve decided to record other version of this song.
It is My other song influenced by Balkan Turbo-Folk. This song begins with guitar, strings and frula (balkan shepherd flute), then accordion and other instruments will added. Strophes are in Slovak, but refrain is in Serbo-Croatian languages. This song is about love and this, how heart is burning because of bad love.
This is My other song recorded in 2022. It is about My feelings for women. Refrain is in Serbo-Croatian, strophes are in Slovak. This song is in some style similar ofcourse to Balkan music, but also to modern R&B, specially some kind of African. Good examples are Zouk, or Kizomba.
I have recorded in 2023 other version of this song in English language.
I have special new to You. WordPress.com has added Audio.com embeds. It means, that I’ll try to edit My articles as soon as possible with My music. Also, Audio.com has a lot of changes, so I’ve edited most of My songs.
Yeah, this is My decision and one little notification. Everything at audio.com is public. I have decided to do this and also, allow to download files too.
This isn’t cover to one of famous songs recorded by me. But, how this idea was created?
I have decided to create something new on music due to one of My platonic loves. So I had one platonic love and I have decided to create something. But, what to create in music?
I have started to experiment on My keyboard. How It can be? Something different, or no? After some experimental performances I have decided with something, like house. After record of music on my keyboard and also on vocoder on My keyboard too, I have decided to record another parts of My music on My computer, for example main singing. I have improvised on this vocoder.
When I have recorded another parts of this song on My computer, I have noticed, that I have used italian words ‘Dolce vita’ on My vocoder. It means ‘sweet life’. Suddenly, I have got an idea, what to do next. I didn’t know why, but I have decided to record something, like in balkan Turbo-Folk music. Turbo-Folk is musical genre popular in former Yugoslavian countries. I understand something in Serbo-croatian languages, but I hadn’t previously recorded something in those languages. Ofcourse, I know those languages due to this, that I was in Croatia, or via Turbo-Folk songs. Also, I have recorded another parts of this song, but this chorus in serbo-croatian languages was one, which was good on this full song.
One bad thing was this, that I have used autotune. It was due to this, that I haven’t good voice for singing. Maybe I just think, but It depend also about this, what I sing. Nextly, due to some problems with My recording software I haven’t good mastered the dynamics. After some time problem was resolved, but in this time I have recorded another songs.
Due to this, that I am busy and I also record some podcasts in Slovak language, I haven’t written any articles. I have created some playlists for My other blogs and sites. But, now I have some special surprise. I have thinking, that if write It here, or not.
Audio.com is a free website to share audio files for free. I have tested It and It is accessible. I have written article about It to one Slovak magazine about technology for the blind. I was very happy, when I have discovered this site.
Sound cloud has started to be some kind of rubbish to Me. It is just My opinion about those things, which they are. I know, that some people will disagree with Me.
I have played with mind to upload My music to Band camp. But, one part of My mind was telling Me, that Band camp isn’t right place. I haven’t any good recording studio, maybe somewhere else. I don’t want to be commercial, because nowadays I do music, as My hobby. I don’t want to explain here My views about music. I was very happy, when I have discovered Audio.com. I have registered there, uploaded some files for testing and remove It and after that I have told to Me: ‘Oh great! It is very good site to Me.’
I have disabled My songs to be publicly viewed on My profile and downloading too. Privacy is important to Me, so You can listen songs, when I will send links to those songs in My posts. If You really want to download some songs, just contact me. So, I reserve all rights to My audio creations (music, songs and another audio).
I have decided again to upload My songs to Youtube. Due to this, that I am blind try present It, how It be. Ofcourse, sound and My photo. But, I don’t want to explain You, how to upload music to Youtube, if You are blind, like me.
It was 2013 and I have one dream. This dream was so great, but I haven’t nothing to get something, like emotion of this dream to music. But, in this day I started to have something, like inspiration on My head. It is difficult to explain It to me. It was one rhythm, which was very similar to Balkan, or Klezmer rhythm. It was 3+2+3 rhythm, very similar to Freilach, althought Freilach is mostly 3+3+2. I have named It ‘Gertek’, I don’t know, why. One motiff was in My head, but after some years I have made remake of this song.
First is something, like hungarian Halgató, or romanian Doina. It is slow playing on cimbalom and clarinet. Clarinet is improvising on something, which can be, like Klezmer tune.
After this composition clarinet is starting again, but accordion is next instrument, like leader and guide. Nextly, another musical instruments, such as contra (folk viola), double bass and violin will played.
Next part is something, like fast polka madness. Playing viola will sometimes imitating chirping bird. After this part a main theme has reappeared.
Those musical instruments are not real musical instruments. Try guess, which musical instrument I have used.
“So, recording studio? Why not?”
I would like to write now something new about My recording equipment. Ofcourse, It wasn’t mistake of the seller, but by me. Why?
I have read various articles about this, how to build My own recording studio. But, I just live in My house. Not on flat, but normal house. I have read, that good are condenser microphones. So, I have decided to buy It. If You have real recording studio, just You know a result of this idea. For those, who didn’t know, let me explain now. Lot of room reverb, noise of My computer and bad stand for this microphone, It was very “excellent” result. I have decided to set compressor, as an effect, but before this decision I had a mind to ask somebody about those equipment. I don’t want to write brands of my microphone, but answer was, that I need dynamic microphone. I have asked people on one mailing list for DAW, which is accessible for the blind people (maybe You know, what is this DAW). But, this microphone I have bought before.
So, what was of this conversation? Yes, I must returned back My microphone to shop, where I have bought this microphone. I haven’t any absorbtion panel, any studio, so dynamic is best choice for me. Ofcourse, It has some hissing sound, but It is normal. What is difference between dynamic and condenser microphone You can find on the internet, but You also know from this article.
